We understand that everyone could not make our parent meeting on January 26th.  We are going to try and sum up the meeting as well as we can for those who could not attend or still might need some clarification on some topics.

First off, welcome to the Ben Lippen Baseball family.   We are very excited about this season and the future of our baseball program here at Ben Lippen.  We believe communication with the parents is a vital part of us all balancing our busy schedules and helping to make our experience with Ben Lippen Baseball as beneficial as possible.

For this reason, we have created this website that you have obviously found.  The Home page will be the most important page.  There is a lot of information on the site but the most important items will be on the home page.  On the left hand column you will see the most important information.  There is a Calendar on there for you with all of BLS Baseball activities already filled in.  There is a Daily News link to anything that is happening on a daily basis.  There is a Forms link to anything that might need to be printed out.  There is also a link to Directions to all of the fields that we would possibly travel to.  Under the Forms/Copies page you will also find a printable contact sheet for all of our staff’s contact information.  You will also find a parent/player information sheet that we will need back at some point so that we can know a little bit about your family and your son.

Under Forms you will also see a Baseball Package sheet.  These packages are part of us taking pride in everything we do and part of that is presentation.  We also have included an optional purchases part of the form where you can purchase more items for your son that are not required.  Items such as batting gloves are at a huge discount off of retail so I would take advantage of this opportunity.  Additional Order for parents need to be made by February 6th. Order forms may be emailed to Coach Walsh or sent with your son.  Please be specific when ordering.

We also understand that each family has made a financial commitment to provide the best Christian education possible and we understand the implications of that commitment.  We have come up with a way to offset cost for the families.  The structure that we have come up with is as follows.  Each player is asked to sell our BLS Booster Club sales package to people they know or businesses.   Contributions are as little as 25 dollars all the way up to 1000 dollars.  A banner ad for 300 dollars is the easiest way to go for a business.  Each player is asked to raise 125 dollars for the baseball program.  This money goes to buying new equipment, new netting, helmets, protective screens etc.  All of this money goes to the improvement of the overall program and not one specific team over another.  Any money raised over 125 dollars will go back to the player to pay for their individual package.  We have already had quite a few players raise enough to receive their package for free in just a weeks time.  This is a great opportunity for the players to take personal responsibility and learn to appreciate what they have and to have to work to get it.  We really ask that you would put the responsibility on the player and not simply write a check.

The players will give me their sizes and their orders.  I am trusting that they have talked with you or that you have approached them about what they could or could not order.  If you have any questions, as usual you may email me or call.
