Congratulations to Ben Lippen B-Team guys for accomplishing the first win in the programs history!  The first B-Team game ever for Ben Lippen was Thursday night.  They battled White Knoll, a 4A baseball powerhouse to a 5-5 tie after 5 innings before running out of steam and losing 15-5 when all was said and done.  Friday night would find the Falcons prevailing for the first time in the program’s history beating Dreher, a 3A public school 4-3.  This was a HUGE win for our program as it shows that the future is bright and not only against private school competition but against any level of high school baseball.  Saturday would place the young Falcons against one of the premier baseball programs in the state and nation, as they took on AC Flora, the defending 3A State Champions and nationally 14th ranked to end 2007.  The Falcons pulled up just shy of an even larger upset, falling to AC Flora 4-3.  It was a great start to what we believe is the key to our program and that is success at the younger ages and increased participation in the baseball program here at Ben Lippen.  We are proud of these young Falcons and look forward to a great season!
