Chuck and Karen Coleman’s Home Page
Welcome to the home page of Chuck and Karen Coleman of Portland, OR
We hope you enjoy your visit here.
It is a simple web site and there is nothing real fancy so keep your expectations low.
Chuck is a retired Paramedic who worked in the Portland OR EMS system for almost 17 years. He started as a volunteer in Parkdale OR which is just south of Hood River on the pretty side of Mt Hood. He was the first Paramedic in Hood River County.
Karen works in the Providence Health System in the Portland area as a psych tech and deals with acute psych patients. She loves her work.
We have been married almost 29 years and figure that we will try another 29 and then see if we want to do another 29.
We have a daughter Tamra and a son Jason.
Our daughter lives in Yacolt with her husband and 3 boys, Brent, Ryan and Dylan.
Our son has severe schizophrenia and has chosen not to have any contact with us which causes us much heartache. It is like he is dead but isn’t. We know some things about him as we hear bits and pieces of what he is doing. I saw him 2 years ago when I was at work but Karen has not seen him for over 3 years.
We are part of the Underhill clan which is very large. My wife was one of 9 kids and we have 21 nieces and nephews. There are now 4 second cousins and the family keeps growing. We all go camping once a year and most of us make it to this event. Here is the link to the 2007 event.
For the last few years we have been remodeling. It has been slow and we work on it when we have time and of course money. The Happy Room, as we call it, it done and we love it. Friends and family love to sit in there. It is full of light and painted orange.
