The twelve-week course Advanced Rhythm serves as an introduction to the four-year programme, Contemporary Music Through Non-western Techniques (CMtNWT). It can be followed in the first or the second semester and is structured differently for the classical and jazz departments.
 
Students can follow simultaneously the first year of CMtNWT provided that they study Advanced Rhythm in the first trimester of the academic year.
