Spiral Analysis Normative Data Study
Spiral Analysis Normative Data Study
Brief Study Description
This study looks at upper limb motor function and aims to collect data about how normal
controls execute a particular task that is commonly used in the neurologic exam--drawing
spirals. We seek healthy individuals with no history of depression, neurologic disorders, or
recent hand or arm injuries. You will be asked to draw spirals with both hands, under various
conditions (e.g., vision, no vision, clockwise, and counterclockwise). The study involves no
needles, medication, or restrictive devices. The total time of participation is around 1 hour,
including time for screening, explanation, and drawing. You will be compensated $20 for
your time and travel expenses. For more information, please refer to the consent form,
available for download below. For further questions and additional inquiries, please email
Annie (awh2114@columbia.edu).
