Latin@s Against the War is a coalition of workers, artists, teachers, students, and community activists who have dedicated themselves to opposing the U. S. Government's war on Iraq and their neocolonial wars and occupations of sovereign nations.

At a time when federal budget cuts have affected our educational priorities, health & human services, labor opportunities and ruined our neighborhoods, we believe that our vital human and economic resources are best utilized for improving our community's infrastructure and not for the destruction of a sovereign states like Iraq, Afghanistan, Colombia, & Palestine, among others.

Latin@s Against the War is in complete opposition to using our tax dollars for the specific recruitment and targeting of our youth, especially poor urban youth who are primarily drawn from the Black, Boriqua, Chicano and other Latino communities, by the military industrial complex who in partnership with Big Business wages racist military campaigns in our community for their own economic gain.

Latinos Against the War is not opposed to the Affirmative Action programs that recruit our youth into higher levels of education. We are, however, opposed to the Affirmative Action programs that heavily and discriminatorily recruit our youth into the military.

We are opposed to US Wars of domination, We are opposed to War and Occupation in Iraq and Afghanistan, and everywhere the US meddles in the affairs of sovereign nations.

Former U.S. Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld and former Iraqi President Saddam Hussein shake hands December 20, 1983 in Baghdad, Iraq. Rumsfeld met with Hussein during the war between Iran and Iraq as an envoy for former President Reagan (still from videotape)

GUILTY

President Bush for illegally spying on U.S. citizens, lying to the American people about the Iraq war, seizing undue executive power, and sending people to be tortured overseas. We need your help to grow this movement.
