Finally, my youngest child had graduated from high school and my life long friend Vicky and I were off on the vacation we had been planning for six years, a trip to explore Scotland. On September 14th we were winging our way from Houston to Edinburgh for our first Rick Steves’ Europe Through the Back Door tour, The Best of Scotland in 11 Days. The adventure was about to begin!
