My images reflect Norwegian folk art from both “old country” folk and immigrant folk. I treasure the rosemaling trunk that carried the possessions that my Norske forbearers brought with them from Norway to Minnesota. My childhood, listening to the sweet Scandinavian accents of the older generations in Kenyon, Litchfield, and Atwater MN along with the holiday traditions of fruit soup, rommegrot, lefse and - yes - lutefisk, topped off with my BA in Art from St. Olaf College in Northfield made my interest in Norse folk arts almost inevitable. Enjoy!
