A few months after the release of their debut album “Mouthful of Lies” the band played their first show in Madison on a Wednesday night. Due to it being both Yom Kippur and mid-term exams’ week for University of Wisconsin their were only a handful of folks in the crowd (and that includes the club staff). The show highlights include early versions of “Second Chance” (which doesn’t appear on a studio album until “Dumbest Magnets” in 2000) and “The Wheels Have Left the Road” (which appears on “The Thrill of Gravity” in 1998).
The recording was made via cassette deck plugged into the soundboard. Even though it is about 12 years-old it is excellent quality.
Enjoy this classic ’95 DV show.
