Kapap

At present KAPAP is mostly focused on teaching hand to hand programs for police and civilian purposes, however these programs are built on the military Krav Panim Le Panim training. KAPAP includes the following components:

Self-Defense techniques:

• Defense against punches and kicks and other strikes 
• Escapes and releases from chokes, bear hugs and other grappling techniques 
• Defense against "cold" weapons: knives, clubs, etc.  
• Defense against "hot" weapons; guns and other firearm. 
• Defense against multiple attackers 
Hand-to-Hand Combat:

• Various types of arm blows including hands, arms and elbows 
• Various types of kicks including feet with/without shoes and various knee strike tactics  
• Ground survival techniques including combat neutralizing grappling techniques - pinching, tendon and muscle tearing, hard core submission (breaking) techniques and defenses against weapon deployment.

Counter-Terrorist Strategies and Techniques

To enhance speed of training and learning we apply the Israeli military KAPAP/LOTAR training system to the two sets of self-defense techniques. KAPAP is the Hebrew acronym for "Face to Face Combat", which is referred to in english as "Close Quarter Battle".

LOTAR is the Hebrew combination of two words Lochama and Terror which translate to anti-terrorism warfare. KAPAP is the teaching system in use in the Israeli military, where ordinary civilians are turned into capable fighters ready to confront life and death engagements in a matter of months. LOTAR is the system used to teach advanced tactics to Israeli Special Forces. Krav Maga is a combat encounter between fighters who fight face to face.

Albert Timen and Avi Nardia are 2 of the worlds most respected trainers of close quarter combat (Kapap). Albert Timen is a former Elite Counter Intelligence undercover unit member of the IDF, Lotar and CQB instructor in the Police S.W.A.T. School, he is one of the only few in the world to catch and arrest a “live” Suicide Bomber with the explosive belt strapped on, while being in the progress of the suicide mission.

Jean with Avi Nardia who has 24 years of experience and has trained armed forces all over the world including Royal Marines, SWAT, SRT, SERT teams from patrol police to special forces, corrections officers, Army Units, Marine units and counter terror units. Major Avi Nardia is a former intelligence team member of the Yamam Counter-Terror (takeover) unit, (equivalent to the US Delta Force and F B I Counter Terror units). As a member of the intelligence team and the instructor of CQB-Defensive Tactics known as Kapap-Krav Panim Le Panim
