Quilt giveaway!
I am busy. Sometimes I’m too busy, and sometimes just the right amount of busy, but I am always busy. A few days ago I was talking to my mom. I asked her if she remembered this time last year when I was telling her that I didn’t have a single thing to do. My house was clean, my kids were bathed, dressed and fed, the bills were all paid and filed, my closets were all organized, and I was all caught up on my phone calls and emails. I remember telling her how awful it was that I couldn’t think of a single thing to do. I can’t help but laugh at what I decided would be a good use of my free time. I decided I was going to start a little pattern company of my own. My mom attempted to talk me out of it, telling me how much work it would be, and I was ecstatic. A lot of work? Sounds FANTASTIC, I thought!
I quickly made plans to travel up to Quilt Market in Salt Lake City a few weeks from that conversation, and one amazing experience and a few weeks later I had my business, Thimble Blossoms, up and running. Looking back I can’t help but think how much has happened in one short year. Not only in my business, but in my life as well. I can’t help but feel so blessed, and just downright giddy about what has happened and what is happening now. What is happening now, you might ask?
(This is where I say 'Tune in next week (Thursday to be exact!) for the answer!’)
OH, and to find out if you won your very own Bloom quilt. Its true. To celebrate one year of complete and utter (not to mention WONDERFUL) chaos, I am giving away one completely competed quilt. The quilt above, actually. And to the side..in al the shots, actually. It is made out of Allspice Tapestry by Fig Tree for Moda, and is the actual quilt from the photograph on the pattern cover.
So heres what you do: Leave your name, where you are from, and your favorite place to get fabric, wherever it may be. From your mom, grandma, the quilt shop down the street (or in another state!) a fabulous online shop, or your local thrift store, ANYWHERE! Now here is where it gets interesting. If you post about the giveaway on your blog (and of course provide your link) you will receive an additional 3 entries, and for each person who says you sent them, one more entry! In case you need it, the link to my blog is http://web.mac.com/cjroskelley
I will announce the winner next Thursday so come back soon!
A few more things:
If nobody enters, I'm giving this quilt to my mom. Heaven knows she doesn't have enough.
If enough people enter that I go over my data transfer limit, (which is quite unlikely) I WILL be back on Thursday (the 1st), and may even add an extra day to give everyone a chance to enter. I like to think ahead. Just in case.
This feels a little bit like giving away one of my limbs. In a good way though.
Good luck!
EDIT: The quilt giveaway is now CLOSED! See the winner posted here, and thank you to everyone who participated!
