Denali Science

During our field experience in Denali National Park we will be using our ASOF technology to collect data that will help us to understand how climate changes are affecting our environment.

The following pages will give you a few ideas for data collection and research while you are in the park.  Take some time to discuss these with your research group and  brainstorm other possible ideas.  Once your groups settles on a project, develop your research project further by establishing your research protocols.  This should include:

  1. 1.Problem Statement (What are you trying to determine?)

  2. 2.Hypothesis (What is your prediction that will be tested?)

  3. 3.Experimental procedure (How you will be testing your hypothesis?)

  4. 4.Data (What your measurements show - a data collection table would be good the have)

Analysis, discussions and communication of your findings will be done once all of your data has been collected.  This will all end up being a part of your final report that will be shared at the end of the camp (Friday).  This final report and sharing may be a digital story, website or keynote presentation.
