Casualties Of War

I’m getting drafted into the Civil War!

No, I haven’t taken up re-enacting, that’s for nerds -- I’ll stick to live D&D, thank you.  But I am writing a one-shot special that ties into Marvel Comics Civil War, the biggest comics event of the year.

Iron Man/Captain America: Casualties Of War brings together the two former friends who now lead the opposing factions struggling over the Superhuman Registration Act.  During a clandestine meeting in the ruins of Avengers Mansion, they will come face to face to argue their positions for the first time, hoping to reach some type of compromise that can prevent further tragedy in the conflict that has seen friends battle friends, families split apart, and the death of Goliath.  We’ll look back on these two mens’ history to see why they feel as strongly as they do, and how they went from allies to friends to leading opposing armies.

The art’s by Jeremy Haun (Oni’s The Leading Man), with two different covers by Jimmy Cheung (Young Avengers).  It ships in December.  Contact your local comics shop to reserve your copy now!
