Join the Committee of Professional Film Makers (COPFM).
Whether you are a producer or crew member, a principal actor or extra, a composer or choreographer, an owner of a business that benefits from film production in Florida, a relative of someone who makes his or her living from Florida filmmaking, or simply a Florida resident who gets a kick out of watching a movie being filmed in your own backyard . . . you can help carry our voice to Tallahassee by joining COPFM today!
The Committee of Professional Film Makers (COPFM) is a committee of continuous existence (CCE)* formed by IATSE Local 477 in 2006 and organized and operated in accordance with written bylaws containing the procedures for election of officers/directors clearly defining the organization membership. The committee is certified by the Florida Department of State, Division of Elections. As part of the application for certification, the committee discloses the area of special interest and the affiliated organization which created it.
The goal of the COPFM is to identify and support those candidates for Florida state offices who demonstrate a commitment to carefully managed, high quality economic growth. Candidates are measured, regardless of political party affiliation, on their dedication to building an infrastructure that supports the Florida entertainment industry.
COPFM is a voluntary, non-profit, unincorporated and uncompensated body. Memberships of up to $500 can be made or renewed between January 1 and December 31 of any calendar year.
