Due to the recent ice storm that passed through the midwest, my (Christopher) family experienced major damage to many of the trees in this area. As you can see in the picture, my Grandmother lost her lovely Bradford Pear tree. There were many trees in her yard that lost limbs and my brother Jacob and I have spent time cleaning up everything. Tulsa was declared in a “state of emergency” at the time and due to that FEMA kicked in with some support. The city of Tulsa is contracting a company to pick up all to the limbs on the curbs of people’s homes here in the city. As you pass through the neighborhoods all you see are fortresses of limbs stacked up five to ten feet high.
Needless to say my time has been busy as Ginger and I are waiting on our visas to Brazil. The Lord is teaching us so much during this time in the area of patience and His faithfulness. Please continue to pray that we would look to the Lord each day to see where he would want to use us and, what I am implying by this, is the idea that serving the Lord does not start when we get to Brazil; it is taking place here and now.
