This Chinese man was standing outside our apartment complex on the street with an amp singing. I think he is trying to make some money by donations. Many people have lost their jobs because of the economy and so they try any way they can to make a few extra dollars.

This is Teacher Yu. She was one of our original Chinese teachers when we arrived in Chengdu 5 years ago. She has become a mom to us. She comes over regularly and sometimes brings food and cooks for us or has us over to her house to eat. She is meeting Hannah for the first time in this little video.

It is amazing that in this big city down down there are people selling sugar cane off of the back of their bicycle.

We were sitting in a taxi and I noticed the cross walk over pass in front of us was full of people. At first I thought there was something going on, but then realized that it was just a lot of people. This is in the down town area of Chengdu. It is so crowded. Part of the reason for the crowd on the over pass is that people sell things up there like fruit, clothes, phone cards, etc.

They are building a big mall as a part of our apartment complex

and they are also building a car underpass at the intersection

outside our apartment to help with traffic flow.
