Chester Bowl Improvement Club’s Volunteer Info
Volunteer Hotline  391-0988

Volunteers make the Chester Bowl Ski Program so successful.  Your cooperation is needed to keep it this way!  Thanks for all the support and enthusiasm!

How Do I log my volunteer hours?
Your volunteer hours are kept track of on an index card. The cards are located in a file box on the counter behind the concession stand. YOU fill out the card.  The hours you record let the CBIC know if you have completed your volunteer hours,  which allows us to return your deposit as well as put your name in the first round for the ski lottery for the next season.

REMEMBER:  Sign up sheets are not tracked - only the volunteer cards.  If you work, write it on the card!  The treasurer can not know you’ve worked unless it’s recorded on your card.

I’m having a hard time getting my hours.  What are my options?
If getting your hours completed during ski season is a challenge there are opportunities to work either the Spring or Fall Festivals in the park, as well as other assorted tasks.  See Thom Storm, call the office or hotline  for specifics.

Reminders:
1.  When you sign up to volunteer for a specific time slot and/or activity - such as working the concession stand, serving as a gate keeper, etc. - you are responsible to fulfill that commitment.  If you are unable to do so you must find your own replacement.  A list of volunteers will be posted on the chalet’s bulletin board next to the concession stand.

2.  Two people from the same household should not sign up to work the same time slots during the same activity.  For example, a husband and wife signing up to work the concession stand together.  Too many times in the past we’ve had double cancellations due to family issues and we’ve had to scramble to have an adult present.

3.  People not fulfilling their volunteer commitment for the season will not be allowed to have their names in the first round of the next ski lottery.  Only those that have completed their hours for the season and those new to the program will be allowed to put their names in the first bucket (round).  Those that have not completed their hours will have their names placed in the second bucket (round) from which names will be drawn after all the names in the first bucket have been picked.  Why is this important?  Because the number of skis are limited and the lottery determines the order the skis are rented out.

You make Chester Bowl a success.  Thank You for your work and time!
