A few posts back I was bragging about a Garden Walk Buffalo garden (on my street) that graces the cover of Garden Gate Magazine’s current issue. I didn’t recognize the center spread garden - it’s another Garden Walk garden! I ran into Jennifer & Jim, the owners of the garden, last night at the grocery store and they couldn’t be happier about having their garden in a national gardening magazine, albeit uncredited.

There’s some great tips from the Garden Gate writer (and Jennifer) in the photo callouts: Umbrellas do more than keep you dry, Shed a little light, Make it as comfortable as your living room, and Relax in a field of flowers.

The following page (image to the right) has another Garden Walk garden. The callouts here include: Provide permanent shade, Surround yourself, and Floor it! These are two must-see gardens (among dozens!) during the Walk.

Garden Gate Magazine was here in June ’07 and photographed seven gardens to be used, in bits and pieces, to illustrate articles throughout the year. By all accounts they liked the gardens and gardeners and would love to come back to shoot more. Our great gardens are walking distance from each other (unless you’re lugging photo equipment.)
