Monet Garden at Giverny
Arguably, the world’s most famous garden. You can’t take a bad picture of this place. This is Fall – mid-October. Look at how lush it still looks! I could have stood there for hours studying the colors and composition of trees, shrubs and perennials. It’s like standing in an impressionist’s painting. Even the parking lot for buses is planted, designed with grasses, and beautiful. This is a highlight of all the trips we’ve taken over the years. In future posts, I’ll show his yard, house and a detail or two.
A good way to see the gardens is with a group of 10 retired flight attendants that like to drink at night. Of course, that’s a pretty good way to see anything.
Favorite thing: The weeping willows.
What about you? Have you been to Monet’s garden? What was your “impression?” Is it someplace you’d like to visit?
