The fourth quarter will focus primarily on the Early National period. Students will examine the early years of the new American republic and its role in the early 19th century world.  We will also discuss prominent personalities such as John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, Alexander Hamilton, James Madison, John Calhoun, Daniel Webster and Andrew Jackson.  The students will also complete a research paper covering an influential figure in early United States history. Important events such as the War of 1812, the Louisiana Purchase, the Lewis and Clark expedition and the National Bank Crisis will be covered in detail.
