The History of our logo

Many people find our logo intriguing and are curious about it’s’ conception and want to know how it came to be. This short story will help to explain...

After months of brain-storming in order to come up with a suitable logo that would best represent the Montreal Gay Men’s Chorus, an anonymous artist who had heard of us and our plight, sketched out a drawing of three singing figures on a cocktail napkin while sitting at the counter of a local pub. Little did we know at the time that this rough draft would soon spark our ideas and help us find our logo: a strong and well-suited emblem of who we are today.
This artist’s sketch led us to Easter Island in fact, and its famous and enigmatic Moai statues. What are they, if not a group of strong men singing out to the world, in harmony, side-by-side, united.
Our love of singing brought us together and the desire to share our voices with you is our goal.
LONG LIVE TO THE
GAY MEN’S CHOIR!
