Last Friday night, I received a few calls from our awesome staff. Apparently, one of our two little pals Calvin and Hobbes was showing signs of a possible bladder infection. They had just arrived that day, and after playtime, they went up to their runs for dinner. Since they were boarding together, we had to separate them that night so we could see which one of them had blood in their urine.
Early Saturday morning, the problem had been narrowed down to sweet little Calvin. We hopped in the car, and with a quick lick to greet me, he nestled down in the back seat of the van. What a gentleman he was in the car! All moms and dads should take notes from this pooch. We went straightaway to White Rock Veterinary Hospital (our vet and his!).
Tests showed no signs of bacteria or other illness, so we brought him back and kept a close eye on him. He seems to be on the mend, and is now home with Mom & Dad, but we’re keeping our ears open for more news and any other signs. This story doesn’t end with an exciting twist, but in this case, that’s a good thing! The important thing to note is that when a dog is feeling sick, we do just what we would with our own pups. Calvin is like family, and family comes first.
