Mason, aka DogBoy Jr., decided his very first science project would be about dogs. Go figure! I was almost as excited about it as he was, when he made the big decision to experiment for paw preference in our canine friends.
Getting a sample of 75 dogs was a piece of kibble, considering we care for that many almost every day of the year. Getting them to shake was another thing entirely.
Out of who knows how many dogs, he got 75 of them to shake hands with him. Right, left, or both paws were welcome! After tabulating his results, he concluded that contrary to his expectations, more dogs were right-pawed! Could there be some Catholic nuns out there smacking the paws of those “evil” lefties? Kidding! Maybe next year, he’ll delve into the cause of his conclusion. Way to go, Mason!
