Directions

From Atlanta follow I-20 East.  Travel approximately 117 miles and take the GA-150 exit at the State Park sign and turn left onto GA-150.  Follow for approximately 8 miles.  You will see the sign to turn to the park on your left on Mistletoe Road and follow into the park.

Race Information

Early registration cutoff is July 8, 2010.

Final registration cutoff is July 16, 2010.

Field limit is 500.

 

Transition Area:  Bike racks are coordinated to match with your assigned race number.  Bike racks will be marked on both ends for easy identification.  Place your bike in the rack corresponding with your number.

 

Body Marking:  All athletes will be marked with race number, age, and category.

 

Swim Caps:  Swim caps are provided in your race packet and must be worn for the triathlon.  Your cap color identifies your swim start heat.

6:00 a.m.  Park opens

6:00 a.m. – 7:30 a.m.  Check-in

7:30 a.m.  Report to the beach for the swim seed positioning

7:45 a.m.  Start sequence information and last minute course updates

8:00 a.m.  Race starts

10:45 a.m.  Awards ceremony begins

•Male and Female Overall (1st, 2nd, 3rd)

•Male and Female Masters (1st, 2nd, 3rd)

•Male and Female Age Groups (1st, 2nd, 3rd)  14 & Under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80-84, 85+

•Clydesdale (1st, 2nd, 3rd), Athena (1st, 2nd, 3rd), Physically Challenged

•Masters Clydesdale (1st, 2nd, 3rd), Masters Athena (1st, 2nd, 3rd)

•Male, Female, and Mixed Teams (1st Place)

 

Series Awards

All triathletes completing at least three races are eligible for special series awards.  The best three races count towards series standings.  All duathletes completing at least two races are eligible for special series awards.  The best two races count towards series standings.

 

Rules

All Tri the Parks races are USAT Sanctioned.  All USAT rules are in effect.  Approved helmets only, no drafting, and no blocking.  All rules will be enforced to ensure a safe and fair competition.  All participants, including relay team members, must be a USAT member or purchase a one-day license ($10) at check-in.

Non-USAT Member              Add additional $10

Relay Team                        $95 (Each Non USAT Member add $10)

Late Registration:  Applications postmarked on or after July 9, 2010

Packet Pick-Up Information

Packet pick-up at All3Sports, July 22nd 10:30am – 2:00 pm, at the park

July 23rd noon-7pm, and Race Day 6:00 - 7:30am.
