Directions

From Atlanta travel on I-75 South for approximately 45 miles.  Take exit # 198 towards High Falls Road.  Turn left off of the exit onto Barnesville Road/High Falls Park Road.  Travel approximately 1.8 miles.  Park will be on your left.  Follow triathlon signs to parking.

Race Information

Early registration cutoff is May 21, 2009.

Final registration cutoff is May 29, 2009 or when field limit is reached if earlier.

Field limit is 450.

Transition Area:  Bike racks are coordinated to match with your assigned race number.  Bike racks will be marked on both ends for easy identification.  Place your bike in the rack corresponding with your number.

 

Body Marking:  All triathletes will be marked with race number, age, and category.

 

Swim Caps:  Swim caps are provided in your race packet and must be worn.  Your cap color identifies your swim start heat.

Event Timeline

6:00 a.m.  Park opens

6:00 a.m. – 7:30 a.m.  Check-in

7:30 a.m.  Report to the beach for the swim seed positioning

7:45 a.m.  Start sequence information and last minute course updates

8:00 a.m.  Race starts

10:45 a.m.  Awards ceremony begins

•Male and Female Masters (1st, 2nd, 3rd)

•Male and Female Age Groups (1st, 2nd, 3rd)  14 & Under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80-84, 85+

•Clydesdale (1st, 2nd, 3rd), Athena (1st, 2nd, 3rd), Physically Challenged

•Masters Clydesdale (1st, 2nd, 3rd), Masters Athena (1st, 2nd, 3rd)

•Male, Female, and Mixed Teams (1st Place)

 

Series Awards

All triathletes completing at least three races are eligible for special series awards, duathletes completing at least two races are eligible for special series awards.  The best three races count towards series standings for triathletes and best two races for duathletes.

 

Rules

All Tri the Parks races are USAT Sanctioned.  All USAT rules are in effect.  Approved helmets only, no drafting, and no blocking.  All rules will be enforced to ensure a safe and fair competition.  All participants, including relay team members, must be a USAT member or purchase a one-day license ($10) at check-in.

Packet pick-up at All3Sports, June 4th 10:30am – 2:00 pm, at the park

June 5th noon-7pm, and Race Day 6:00 - 7:30am.
