USAIGC OF SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA
USAIGC has long been a viable and popular competitive system in other parts of the country. Join us as we increase its’ momentum and strength here in Southern California!
Why IGC? The USAIGC website states:
The heart of the new USAIGC competitive program is the time factor and learning curve in the training of our athletes. Our program is based on athlete longevity; we want to intentionally slow down the learning process of skills to allow the coach and athlete to develop a long term training and skill development program that can span over a number or years. This longevity factor is critical in the USAIGC competitive program. Our competitive goal is to have our athletes prepared to compete in the Collegiate Program.
Involved in the “slowing down” process is the ability to train less hours and still be competitive. Many gymnastics clubs are losing athletes who don’t want to/can’t train 12, 14 or even 16 hours per week to be competitive at the first levels of USAG. USAIGC offers an excellent alternative for these athletes, as well as those who want to be event specialists only.
The purpose of this website is to give So Cal IGC clubs one place to go for information and dates as they pertain to our area.
