The Bible and particularly the New Testament clearly indicates that the Kingdom of God is “already but not yet” (to use the term made famous by George Eldon Ladd) meaning that God’s kingdom or reign is now visibly manifested or present now in part and we await its full realization in the future. In that future, “a great multitude... from every nation, tribe, people and language standing before the throne and in front of the Lamb... They cried salvation belongs to our God...” (Revelation 7:8-12).

The “global village” phenomenon of our times resulting in the multi-nationalities and multi-lingual character of First Assembly of God of Greater Lansing is a foreshadowing and present reflection and partial representation of this glorious reality.  First Assembly of God of Greater Lansing is strategically located, and its leadership and people are gifted by God.  First A/G is already a pioneer and emerging model of this Church of the future, one that comprises people from diverse nationalities, cultures, and ages who are redeemed by His grace, committed to the Lordship of Jesus Christ and his purposes and to each other; and who by its existence in East Lansing and activities give witness to the grace, power, presence and righteousness of God in the unity of the Holy Spirit.
