Chiropractic Care
Dr Greenfield's Approach
Chiropractic care is based on the premise that good health depends in part on a normally functioning nervous system.
Chiropractors understand that many of the body's dysfunctions can be linked to nerve interference caused by abnormal pressure or irritation of the spinal nerves. Be relieving this pressure and restoring proper nerve flow, symptoms can often be relieved and good health can be restored.
Chiropractors base this knowledge on years of study and research into the biomechanics of the human body and the cause and effect that injuries have on the spinal system, as well as the overall health of the individual.
Dr. Greenfield's unique approach to chiropractic care involves realigning the spine with precise chiropractic adjustments to release the vital life force nerve energy so that the body can heal itself from within. Additionally Dr. Greenfield works to detoxify and balance the body chemistry with all natural time test homeopathy that the body needs plus she prescribes the exact nutritional supplements that each patient's body needs and craves. Lastly she includes a very powerful new breakthrough system of releasing extremely damaging emotional stress and tension to not only the subconscious mind, heat and soul of a person but also to the body as well. This is done through a dynamic muscle testing system called Neuro Emotional Technique, or N.E.T.
Dr Ward's Approach
Dr. Ward treats patients with myofascial pain syndromes by putting the muscles through a series of deep stretches and manual release techniques specifically geared towards elongating the contractions of the muscles. Her focus is to restore movement to the body caused by the muscular tension and torque, and the joint restrictions. Dr. Ward uses mostly manual adjusting techniques called Diversified technique, where there is an audible release of the joint. At the patient's request, Dr. Ward will use Activator and Thompson Drop technique as well.
Some patients experience soreness following the myofascial treatment, similar to soreness following exercise or massage therapy, which will abate in 1-2 days. Patients will be sent home following treatment with home stretches and exercises that are an integral part of their treatment.
