Hello to All,
I have met some of you last May in Sydney, but to those who do not know me, let me introduce myself.
My name is Leo Schmidt, and together with my wife Josephine we have been called to open up our house and form a home church.
We originally came across KWAVE in LA in Nov 2005 at the end of a tour my wife was on across part of the USA, sharing her music and her message against complacency in regards to eastern religions and witchcraft. In Calvary Chapel we found people who called sin SIN, and taught the whole Bible.
We prayed for someone to be called to South Australia near our area to start something, but it appeared this was not in God’s plan.
Following encouragement from a few of the senior Pastors at different Calvary Chapels in the US, I have been delivering the verse by verse teaching with LOTS of help from the Holy Spirit.
Originally we loosely called ourselves Adelaide Hills Calvary Fellowship, but upon being led to establish a website so our fellowship could keep up to where we are studying if they were unable to join us, we registered the domain name Adelaide Calvary.
My purpose of writing to you is two-fold. Primarily to inform you that we are here, and also to let you know if you know of anyone in Adelaide who has expressed interest in the Calvary Chapel movement, and its "style" (for want of a better word), you could point them to www.adelaidecalvary.com .
We are not laying claim to being a Calvary Chapel, as I know there is a lengthy path before that would be the case.
We are still praying to be led to a place we can meet at least on Sundays, but for now, we are focussing on growing in the Lord.
We will continue to pray for your churches and your ministries, and we look forward to meeting with you.
