No, that isn’t Macey.  I don’t have any good pictures of her doing agility, but hopefully I will get some this weekend.  We are about to leave for Katy, TX to compete in the FlashPaws Agility Club Agility Trial.

 

In AKC agility, there are three levels of competition...Novice, Open, and Excellent.  Everyone starts in Novice and you have to get three qualifying runs (called legs) in order to advance.  Macey is one leg away from Excellent in both the standard agility and jumpers categories.  

 

This weekend we have four runs, two in standard and two in jumpers.  If she gets one more leg in each category we will move up to Excellent and be competing at the top level.  Not too bad considering that this is only her fifth trial in which to compete.  That means that she has had 10 qualifying runs out of 16...a pretty good record!

 

If I have internet in my hotel room, I will try to keep you updated as the weekend progresses.  If not, I’ll post a report when I get back home on Sunday.  Hopefully I’ll have some pictures of Macey with the blue ribbons she won this weekend to show you!
