“Chuck Biel probably doesn't sleep much. We can't imagine him finding time to watch television, read a book, mow his lawn or do much more than the bare minimum required to eat. We’ve  never met anyone more absorbed by the idea and the dream of music. He pretty much likes all flavors: classical, jazz, chamber, folk, rock, you name it, he has probably fronted a band playing that style. A good band! “

"I have known and worked with Chuck for nearly 25 years. Plainly and simply, Chuck Biel is one of my favorite human beings. Professionally, he has been my go-to man for composing music for my motion pictures. I owe a lot of my success to the artistry that he brought to my films with his music. The collaboration was always enjoyable, which is often not the case with other artists. Chuck was always fun to work with, totally dependable and always supportive of the final product.

As a teacher, his legacy is in the many young people he has taught over the years. We would need a calculator to even estimate the number of young lives that he has influenced. Then again, we can listen to their music in the many world class bands and organizations that include Chuck's former music students.

As a friend, I am lucky to know him. We share a common history that I am quite proud of. It is always with pleasure that we greet and work. As you can see I am quite high on Chuck Biel. I ask that you give him a good look. You won't be disappointed ".

"Chuck Biel is the greatest teacher I have ever had, and music was just the beginning. I took lessons from Chuck as a high school student, and as an adult. Many people eschew learning to play and read music because of its intimidating complexity. Chuck has a wondrous gift for dissolving that intimidation, teaching students to see and feel the beautiful logic behind the complexity, thus rendering the seemingly impossible exhilaratingly accessible. The confidence that this gives children is galvanizing. His ability to communicate musical skill is only part of his great gift as a teacher. The kindness, exuberance, humor, and respect he shows his students effects and transforms them not just musically, but spiritually as well. The skills that he teaches and the confidence he instills are invaluable far beyond a sheet of music. I use them everyday in my professional life. I am counting the days till my toddler is old enough to wrap her hands around a guitar neck. When I was carrying her I thought "I can't wait till she's old enough to take lessons from Chuck."
