Offensive Player of the Week:

Raymond Maples (Sr. – RB)

-Maples put forth an impressive performance by rushing for 177 yards on 19 bruising carries. He scored three touchdowns in the game (28, 5, and 2 yards), including one in each overtime session. 

Defensive Player of the Week:

John Ruppert (Jr. – DT)

-The burly defensive tackle was a game-long force in shutting down Wilmington’s inside rushing attack. He made seven tackles (4 solos) in the game, including two that went for losses. 

Special Teams Player of the Week:

Bill Tobin (Jr. – Long snapper)

-Playing on a gimpy ankle, which he injured playing defense early in the game, Tobin toughed it out and did his job efficiently as the team’s long snapper. Tobin was excellent at this all season long and greatly enhanced the quality of the Burrs’ kicking game.
