Offensive Player of the Week:
Kaheem Summerville (Sr. – RB)
-The reserve senior tailback carried 7 times for 109 yards and two touchdowns. His first score went for three yards. Later on, he unleashed a 70-yard scoring jaunt. It was good to see this kid get rewarded for his hard work in practice over his career.
Defensive Player of the Week:
John Ruppert (Sr. – DT)
-The burly senior defensive tackle produced a season’s worth of statistics in just a half of game. Ruppert was in on 7 total tackles and all of them came behind the line of scrimmage. He was solely responsible for 29 yards of losses. He also added 1.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, and a pass defend.
Special Teams Player of the Week:
Tristin Freeman (Soph. – LB)
-Freeman, a promising a sophomore, was a terror on special teams throughout. He hustled for four tackles on kickoff returns, with three of them being solos.
