Teaching Happiness

The card deck you see below is one in a series being developed for the pursuit-of-happiness.org site. The site which is the beginning of a program to promote the teaching of happiness and the elements of positive psychology through a variety of philosophical and psychological fields of thought will contain the card decks for each important historical contributor. One of my contributions will be the card decks. Having spent the last twenty five years working with others as a therapist as well as designing multimedia material online and offline the collaboration for me fits like a glove.

Dance Cards


The Secret Mencius Dance Cards below were actually never intended to be a part of the Mencius deck and were an experiment for another purpose but somehow they just seem right and may well end up a part of the deck. No one's watching so loosen up and let your self go. Dance!

Mark Setton will be writing the text and I will be developing the cards, images, and animation that go with them. With us are a small band of like-minded individuals who believe that happiness doesn’t have to be quite so elusive as it seems and that given the right material with the right design it’s actually a teachable subject. It’s our intention to present the material in cross generational ways in order to capture a wide audience. The cards above are just one form that will be deployed. There’s much more to come.
