Trinity has a dynamic and thriving art department staffed by two full-time teachers and one specialist technician.

Pupils follow a range of projects and activities designed to maximise their potential. Pupils are taught technical skills in shading, perspective, proportion, still life drawing, portraiture, and perspective and at KS4, figure drawing and anatomy. They also produce imaginative work in response to music, literature and real life events.

The art department has a growing interest in ICT as a tool to be used alongside more traditional methods. The Art Website is an extensive resource for students, teachers and parents. All schemes of work, department policies, teaching resources, methods of monitoring and standardising are provided for our staff online.

The Arts are all strong at Trinity, which has achieved Artsmark Gold standard. There is collaboration between Departments for school events and Year 7 summer term ‘Activities Week’. Also, in the summer term we hold an Arts Awards Evening to reward and celebrate the achievements of our students in the Arts.
