I am grateful for the opportunity to embark on this adventure, which is sure to enrich my life and work. First, I travel to Kuala Lumpur where I visit friends, who are living there. Then, off to Tokyo, where I meet up with 23 other adventurous scholars to begin the tour. I can not be sure what kind of internet access, if any, I can expect in some of the smaller towns in Japan, but I will do my best to remain connected through this blog, which I have nick-named “Jblog”. Please join me as I discover new territory (for me, at least) in asia.
