The “Letters From Mandy” benefit concert was a great success! On February 15, 2007 Several Seattle Musicians joined together for one wonderful night of music in an effort to raise awareness of the Kaza project and the work that A Wiser World is doing. The audience hailed from all over the state of Washington in order to be a part of this special night.
“Light Euphoric”, a band committed to making the world a better place through their humanitarian-themed music, played several songs joined later by other talented vocalists and instrumentalists including an encore performance from our first benefit, by Jesses Butterworth. The night was an array of talent and excellence in musicianship, including a performance on the didgeridoo by Jason Cryer. Kendall Ring also rocked as she made her musical debut on the guitar strumming her way to fame by playing “If Everyone Cared” by Nickleback.
The night’s events were accented by door prizes, home-made cookies, and an opportunity to get to know the directors of A Wiser World and to learn about their past travels around the world. Towards the end of the show, the Schutts were presented with an award from the internationally recognized organization, “The Love Foundation” in recognition of the work they are doing with education in India.
