Naomi’s birthday

On Saturday we celebrated Naomi’s 7th birthday. We had a crazy busy weekend, with ball games and the town’s Earth Action Day, as well as a full day Sunday, so Saturday evening seemed to be the best time. Our good friend Mario Tobias, who worked with me in Kansas, was in town visiting with us, so you’ll see him in the pictures as well.

Thoughts for a seven year old - it’s strange to think that our baby is seven. It won’t be too long before we’re thinking about driving, dating, college, weddings, aaagghh! I hope and pray that her best qualities - her friendliness, creativity, and affection - will grow stronger and that she will be a blessing to everyone she touches in life.

At some date and time, we’ll update you on her baseball career, but at this point it’s not looking good ... but as everywhere she goes, she is making friends!

Thanksgiving on the beach!

One of the advantages of having your parents move to the beach is that you get to visit the beach when you visit your parents! The beach in the fall and winter is very different from the beach in spring and summer. A different feel and a different kind of beauty. We visited the North Beach at Tybee Island over the Thanksgiving week - a pleasant temperature, not too crowded, nice for walking or playing ball. I thought I’d share some of the pictures - enjoy!

Fun with the Kids

Felicia’s gone to her women’s group tonight, so I’m having some fun with the kids. Photo Booth on a Mac is a great program - you can take pics with great effects, which is always popular.
