Robotank V2

This rover features:

  1. Bullet4 drive motors

  2. Bulletcentered distance sensor

  3. BulletTSD-Sensor

The TSD-Sensor System

The TSD-Sensor or Track speed difference sensor measures the speed difference
between both tracks with a differential gear. This was the most challenging part of this rover.  The gear train needs to be build with a minimum of friction.

Both tracks where feed into the differential. The rotation speed is proportional to the speed difference of both tracks.




Distance Sensor

The distance sensor was placed in the middle of the platform. The sensor is pressed down by the frame design.










Motors and gear train

Each track was driven by two motors, one on each end.
Both motors are a fully integrated part of the frame structure.
