Biological and functional analysis of the Rad17/RFC and Rad9/Rad1/Hus1 DNA damage sensor complexes

We are studying the spatio-temporal dynamics of the Rad17/RFC and Rad9/Rad1/Hus1 genome maintenance complexes and determining the roles of these complexes in activation of the downstream checkpoint pathways. This way we hope to extent our understanding of the possible functions of these complexes in DNA damage sensing, and therefore get more insight into how cells are protected from genomic instability.
