Carnegie - Artist of mystery

Welcome to my Artist of Mystery site. Here you’ll find samples of my artwork, video clips of some favorite magic routines, my constantly updated blog and a few oddities. You can also find the occasional behind the scenes stories from the events and adventures of my career. I also like to cover various aspects of magic history so you’ll find a lot about that on my blog.

One of my biggest interest these days besides performing is art. The art links above have many examples of my work. I try to post new paintings whenever possible. One of the first things you’ll discover when you check out my artwork is the wide variety of styles. I’m constantly playing around and trying new techniques and different styles. For years my focus was on abstract caricatures. I’ve almost left those totally behind at this point. I say almost, because when I least expect it, a design creeps up in my head and I have to get it out on canvas.

As I mentioned above I’m very interested in the history of magic and when I have the opportunity I like to visit places with some magic connection. Some are sites where famous magicians have performed, others might be the final resting places of long gone magical performers and then a final place might be a private collection of historical magic apparatus and ephemera.

If you’d like to find out more about my performing career, please feel free to pop over to my other site www.carnegiemagic.com  There you can learn more about the shows, read client comments and see more videos from the show.

Sit back, enjoy the site. I’m always looking to hear from folks who visit my site so if you’d like to drop me a note, please do. You can reach me at carnegieescapes@yahoo.com
