it starts here

There is something very elemental about riding at night. I am documenting some of the best experiences and images captured going out after dark. I have a mountain bike and a good set of night lights - helmet and handlebar mounted for an excellent view of the trail or road. Whenever I can I turn everything off and let my eyes adjust to the darkness. All of the visual stimulation that daylight provides is turned down and the other senses start kicking in.

What I have collected here are my best available light photographs and the stories behind them.

Black as the pit from pole to pole
I thank whatever gods there be
For my unconquerable soul
