It was just another night /With a sunset and a moonrise
Not so far behind /To give us just enough light
To lay down underneath the stars /Listen to all translations
Of the stories across the sky /We drew our own constellations
                                                                    Jack Johnson bonfire

Point Aconi, Cape Breton
Nothing like a rip-roaring bonfire to celebrate arriving at our destination. Absolutely beautiful sunny day. In the middle of a good old family carload vacation. Worked our way through the Gaspe, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. Spent the day picking the rocks on the beach over for fossils and Jacob made an amazing find -- a large intact ancient fern leaf.

Telling stories around the fire and cooking up a few marshmallows.
