Whitehaven beach. Blue Pearl Bay. Langford Reef. Black Island. All jewels in the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park, places to swim and play. We sailed aboard the Solway Lass. Most of the Islands are undeveloped and uninhabited. I thought the boys might sprout fins, they took to snorkeling immediately and we were amongst the last out of the water on each of our three dives. The reefs were stunning, Lucas whooped out with joy as soon as he dipped his diving mask in the water, and continued whooping for most of the first session. We came face to face with a Hump-headed Maori Wrasse, a friendly monster a big as the boys. Every direction revealed a new species of fish & coral. Absolutely amazing!
The previous night we went for a swim, swinging from a 50-foot tarzan swing. A dolphin followed by her calf was spotted at dinner swimming alongside the ship. Jacob spotted a shark, about the same size, shortly after that.
The weather was gorgeous and the stars shone like crazy every evening. Trip of a lifetime. http://www.whitsundaytourism.com/places_to_visit/whitehaven-beach.cfmhttp://www.australiantallships.com/solwaylass.php?wp=27http://www.timsaxon.co.uk/wally.htmlshapeimage_1_link_0shapeimage_1_link_1shapeimage_1_link_2
