In order to not sleep through my 330am call time to assist/translate for a French photographer shooting a sunrise advertisement in Beijing, I simply skipped out on sleeping at all.  Because of this wonderful experience, yeeew, I learned the word for horse ranch in chinese, 马场.

Shaolin monks visited the Beijing photo studio last week. I spent quite a bit of time testing their kungfu skills.  I studied their headlock counters, hair grab counters( difficult to pull a bald monks hair) and other joint manipulation type techniques.  Although these guys are authentic Shaolin

The only way to have a white Christmas in Beijing was to head to the mountains and tackle the slopes.  Believe it or not, all the snow on the mountain is man made.  Unlike skiing at Mount Hood where.. ten years ago a lift ticket would cost you around 50 bucks, nan shan lift ticket and ski rentals
