Mail Art is Art Mail People are always debating the parameters of mail art or whether or not something IS mail art or not. I say, just make it and send it and be done with it. If you mail art through the postal system, it is mail art. If you want to be a mail artist, send out art mail. Tired of what you see in galleries? Host your own mail art show. List a mail art call at one of the online sites which offer this service (for free). After you’ve received all of the art, prepare and send out documentation to everyone who participated. OR Send art to someone else’s mail art call. OR Participate in projects at sites like Postcard X, PostCrossing, Nervousness.org, or 1000 Journals (just to name a few).
