Views of the Hills Country
What do you expect to see when you come to the Texas Hill Country? Hills, grassland, scattered trees, rocky terrain, prickly-pear cactus and crystal-clear rivers. Old farm houses, barbed-wire fences, and some eccentric homes and small businesses will also be seen. There is also asphalt, telephone wires and ugly billboards, but I've avoided photographing those.
A typical view of the hills, grass, and trees. This photo was taken in winter on the Devil's Backbone (Hwy. 32).
A view from Enchanted Rock, near Fredericksburg, in December.
Waterfall on the Blanco River, in Autumn.
The Guadalupe River, above Canyon Lake, in Spring.
