CBR 2008 RIDER REVIEWS:
“Having just got back from the Cannonball my life will never be the same again, I have had the privilege of riding with the best biker's ever to ride on this planet, and have ridden through the most wonderful country at speed and had no problems. I have also met a great bunch of lads, who.... really like to drink!

There is one problem though, I will have to wait another 12 months before I can go again!

Bring on the next one, CANNONBALL FOR EVER.”

“Cannonball fever is still goin strong for me, I still have blurred vision, problems with speech and remembering words, and had to resist the urge of vodka on the cornflakes! Pourquoi?

I gotta say out of the 3 years I've been on the event, this has got to have been by far the best yet, and thanks to all you guys for making it so memorable, it went way too quick, I can't wait for next year, so until then mon petite champignons!”

“Dude, got to totally agree with what you say. Met an amazing bunch of lads, rode on the most fantastic roads, and had the time of my life. As soon as I can I'll be booking myself in for the next one.

With me not going back to work till Monday, I've spent today just walking round twiddling my thumbs thinking about the past 8 days. Life really is rather slow at the moment and even though we only spent 5 days riding ‘round at speed I think its going to take sometime adjusting to life in the slow lane again…”

“I’m just starting to get to grips with the real world after such a long night of drinking at the last hotel.  I missed my flight and had to spend yet another extra night there.  Wow has that reflected on my bank balance!

I would do it all over again though.  The event for me was my first and certainly won't be the last. I loved every minute of it.  Great people, great route set out with jaw dropping scenery oh and ...what was it ...soft landings.

BASE Jumping and biking combined, how the hell am I gonna top that next time?

Thanks to everyone for an unforgettable experience.

“Arse is still in bits. I keep waking up in the middle of the night with the sudden realization that I'm not lost in the middle of Morocco with 200 miles to the next filling station. I still have a huge smile on my face every time I think of the run (which is most of the time).

I think everybody at work is now getting the idea that it was "fuckin brilliant". This was truly a lifetime adventure of the highest order.”

“Yes it’s the Post-Cannonball-Blues, life just wont be the same again.

Words cannot explain the week we just had, wow!

Just looking forward to next year.

It can’t be here soon enough.

Need a faster bike though!”

“That was definitely the best time I’ve ever had and can’t wait for next year....... that’s if Nick will let us re-book!”

“Food has lost its taste, I have an unwanted Moroccan party still going on in my belly and I really don’t think I can wait another 12 months before we do it all again... I'm off to speak with Steve, Im sure we can arrange something.

The event was an absolute pleasure and each and every one of you made it what it was, congrats and looking forward to meeting up again soon!”

“Unbeleeevable ride!!

I never imagined riding on public roads like that, well without the worry and hassle anyway. Sound bunch of lads and seriously quick riders too.

As I mentioned the mother-of-all-sessions followed. Jim, having changed his flight once already, still missed it. Legend.

Back to base now. Tough to wind down. Tired but happy. Great stuff from the Cannonball Team too. I hope to see yawl next year…..”

“DUDES, HELP! ... (having got back home) ...I feel so incomplete, I am so f**king bored ............. Spending most of my thoughts thinking about my next bike.........SWEET!”

Post Event: Jim and Colin are still at the 5-Star Don Carlos Hotel having pulled a 2nd all-nighter in a row - Jim fell in the pool fully clothed.......

“I can’t even remember anyone else there, I thought it was just colin and me.  I remember shortly after getting out of the pool the hotel manager coming over and talking with us.  At that point I had noticed my existence and was wondering where the hell I was, what day or time it was.  I slept right through till 9 that night and so missed my flight and had to pay for that night at the hotel.

A crazy end to one hell of a week!! Roll on the next CBR  !!!”

“Its so weird being back in "normal" life. People keep asking me what’s wrong but how do you explain to them in words they'll understand what the fuck we just did??? I close my eyes at night and when I sleep, I dream of checking maps for junctions, of trying to remember weird sounding City names, I shake my tank to see if I've enough juice to make it to the next fuel stop then I pull on my lid and we're off again, faster then ever before, we push on.

Its not the same any more (life). We all did something incredible, something a lot of people don't understand and can't understand. You can't explain what Cannonball is to most people, unless they experience it (unlikely) then they won't get it. But it doesn't matter, we get it, we know what Cannonball is and once we know we're not the crazy person most people write us off for, we'll be ok, we'll survive, we'll get on with life....until the next CBR.

Am proud to have shared the road and the journey with you guys, my fellow Cannonballers in arms.”

“I was out riding yesterday and found myself following a white BMW 3 series, something clicked in my brain and the next thing I knew I was dropping a gear and riding past it like I was chasing you all again and trying to look good for the camera, hahaha.
Who would have thought 6 days could have changed my life so explicably, sticking to speed limits, stopping for red lights and not having to look out for petrol stations is still taking some getting used too.
There's something missing from my life now and I'm feeling a bit lost. For many months leading up to the Cannonball it was all I talked about, thought about and spent most of my time getting the bike ready for it. Then spent 6 days riding the most amazing roads, with a fantastic bunch of lads with adrenalin pumping through my veins instead of blood for the most amazing 6 days of my life.
And now, well, now somethings missing and I find myself literally just sitting there wondering what to do, lol. Guess I'm just going to have to get things sorted for next year. And learn to pull better wheelies, lol.”

“Cannonball for me is my new religion. If I could do it every day I would.”
