ROLL OF HONOUR
Huge thanks and respect go out to all Cannonballers that made this year’s event an absolute riot. 2008 Special Awards were:
 
SPIRIT OF CBR AWARD:
Paul Bainbridge & Andy Glover
Brian Easson & Ian Wilson
With 2 bikes out of the event on day 1 both riders continued the entire 1400 mile route 2-up with their buddies. With no loss of pace.
 
LONG WAY DOWN AWARD:
Vesa Aro & Jari Kallio
Not content with riding a mere 1400 miles around Morocco both riders rode an additional 2000 miles to the start from Finland. And then back again.
 
ADRENALIN JUNKIE AWARD:
Jim “CondorMan” Smith
Considering the adrenalin levels at the start inadequate, CondorMan elected to go over the edge for a quick base jump. Without a parachute. Then smoked a quick ciggie and carried on.
 
DETERMINATION AWARD:
Anthony “Yank with the Tank” Gallo
Overcame 101 problems to get to the start from another continent then persevered to the finish with an ill-suited tank of a BMW which he dropped “once or twice” and then buried in the desert. Lucky it was a hire bike.
 
NAVIGATOR AWARD:
Rob “Which Way?” Hatch
Damn near missed the event by going to the wrong departure airport. After several trips between airports he eventually made it only to lose his ferry ticket and had to be smuggled out of Morocco.
