Greetings from Polk City, Florida!  If you don’t know where Polk City is, just look for the little dot on the map along the I-4 corridor about halfway between Orlando and Tampa. This is where you’ll find Camp Gilead – Camp and Conference Center on the shores of beautiful Lake Helene. 

   

    Whether you’re new to Camp Gilead (CG) or have been coming for years, I hope that you find this group rental packet informative and beneficial as you plan your retreat at our camp and conference center. God is doing amazing things through our ministry, and we want your group to have a positive experience during your time at CG. 

    Whether you bring a group of 10-year-olds or a group of 80-year-olds, the staff at Camp Gilead makes it our goal to meet the needs of each individual group.  With a great staff, large meeting facilities, recently-renovated cabins and lodging, gym and athletic fields, a large dining hall that serves fantastic food and plenty of outdoor activities, Camp Gilead is the ideal setting for your organization’s retreat. 

    We aim to partner with you by providing food service, setup, maintenance and other behind-the-scenes work, all within an atmosphere of excellence.  We want you to be able to focus your attention on the spiritual and programmatic aspects of the retreat. Just remember—our rental dates are filling up fast.  If you have a date in mind, call the camp office and we’ll check to see if it is available.  If so, simply fill out the enclosed Rental Agreement form and send it in with a security deposit (as outlined in the enclosed information).  Upon receipt of these two items, we’ll reserve the date for your group.

    We also have a full schedule of summer camps for kids of every age.  We provide the speaker, counselors, staff and program – you just have to send the kids!
